Founder's Story
For me, travelling was never just about chasing views—it was about chasing stories. Stories hidden in distant places, and stories waiting to be discovered within ourselves.
Over five years of travelling—solo, with friends, and with family; from crowded tourist hotspots to quiet, lesser-known corners of the country—I realized that some of the most meaningful moments of a journey cannot be captured through a camera lens. They ask us to slow down, to feel, and to be fully present.
How could I ever photograph my first sip of Noon Chai in Kashmir Or capture the feeling of a birthday made unforgettable by a family of strangers I met on a train? These moments lived on in my memories, but I often wished I had a place to preserve them more deeply.
One day, after returning from a trip, an idea quietly took root in my mind—a travel diary that feels less like a notebook and more like a friend. A companion that listens without interruption, holds your thoughts without judgment, and helps you have conversations with yourself long after the journey ends.
That idea marked the beginning of another journey. A journey of designs, prototypes, supplier calls, late-night brainstorming sessions - All wasn't always easy, but every step was driven by a simple belief: that some memories deserve more than a place in our camera roll.
On 7th July 2026, after months of learning, creating, and persevering, Travel Dostt became the very first product of Batohiya Shop.
Our Purpose
Throughout this journey, one question followed me everywhere: "Aajkal likhta kaun hai?" — Who writes these days?
Travel Dostt is a gentle reminder to pause at that mountain viewpoint a little longer, to relax on beach side doing nothing and to write about how the place made you feel, to remember the conversations, the laughter, the challenges, and the lessons that no photograph can fully capture. It is a space to collect pieces of your journey and pieces of yourself. Because long after the trip is over, it is not the posts we cherish the most—it is the memories, emotions, and stories that continue to travel with us.
I believe, people still want to pause. They just need a right companion to pause with. Travel Dostt is for them.
And perhaps, for you too.
